Active Shooter Response (Civilians)
Prior to Training
At Dark Adaption, our goal is to bring much needed awareness and education, paired with realistic scenario based training to a topic that usually goes unaddressed until tragedy strikes. After almost a decade of instructing on Active Shooter events and working directly with schools and businesses, we have a strong working knowledge of what it takes to better prepare you. After our initial phone consultation, our team will come to your location and conduct a site assessment and provide in depth guidance. The site assessment is done prior to the day of training to allow the instructors to create a custom plan and focus the training specifically to you and your team’s needs.
This course is scaled specifically to your business/school’s needs. Please contact us for availability, pricing, and so we can learn more about how we can assist your team in being better prepared for Active Shooter Response.
Our Active Shooter Response training is a 1 day, in depth look at what is needed to increase your survivability in an active shooter event. We work hand in hand with our clients to build the best training possible for each school, daycare, church, and business.
What to expect from our training
On the day of the training, we start with a presentation providing knowledge on the topic, awareness to some lesser known facts, and best practices on increasing your survival in this type of event.
Our goal is to further decrease the amount of people injured or killed in these events by offering a medical portion to every training class. It has been shown nationally that law enforcement response is at least several minutes away, minimum. We have to be our own first responders and be ready to help ourselves and others. This medical training will assist you in rendering aid to yourself or others in dire situations.
We finish the day with our “hands on” training, emphasizing the principles learned throughout the day creating real world scenarios in a controlled environment. There is no substitute for scenario based training!
