Active Attack / Large Structure Clearance

This course was built to sharpen law enforcement response to an active shooter event with a strong focus on large structures.

This 3 day course will strengthen your abilities as a police officer to respond to, locate, and eliminate an active threat to innocent lives in a large structure. Our comprehensive course covers all facets of active attack from the initial response to post event protocols. Our goal is to improve your ability to think, act, and lead in a high threat environment.

This course will continue to build on the skill level 1 concepts that most cops now receive through grant funded programs or department in-service training. With an optimal student to instructor ratio, we are able to hone in and emphasize key points often glossed over in mass produced training. We spend time on the DETAILS and the WHY to every skill taught to sharpen your skillset and enhance your response.

Our instructors are all active police officers with first hand experience responding to these types of calls in a law enforcement capacity. Our blended backgrounds allow you to learn from multifaceted viewpoints of what responding to an active shooter should look like.

**FOR SCHOOLS: Our course is able to be customized for school district SRO’s and/or local agencies to work together, since that is the most likely response to this type of event. Course Information

Hours: 8am - 4pm (1 Hour Lunch)

**** Pre Requisite - Law Enforcement or Military Only ****

Equipment Needed:

  • Agency vehicle (Either a police vehicle or your take home vehicle)

  • Police radio

  • Comfortable clothing /shoes suitable for training (Pants, BDU’s, T-shirt. No shorts)

  • Eye Protection

  • Active Shooter “Go Bag” (if you have one)

  • Water / Food

  • Duty gear (Vest, Belt) Kit/Rig if you typically wear one

  • Duty Rifle with empty magazines (however many you normally carry)

  • Simunitions and rifle bolts, will be provided. Your agency vehicles will not be damaged in any way. We will be utilizing them for initial response in a controlled environment and to emphasize principles taught during the course.
